If you don’t, your TV will use so-called Dynamic Tone Mapping processing to try and get the maximum impact from the industry-standard HDR10 HDR images all Series X HDR games use at the time of writing, even though this processing is no longer needed because you have already calibrated your Series X to deliver the optimal results with your TV.
